The Search

We recently decided to start another 'search' for a guy. I've spent some time on craigslist, first replying to some m4mw ads, then posting my own ad, and then replying to some more m4mw ads since the guys that had replied to my ads were bordering on massive flakiness :)

It's been interesting to say the least. There's something odd about replying to another guy's ad who wants to have my wife, and maybe even odder to post my own ad to do this (in the past, my wife was always the one doing the posting since ultimately she's holds the deciding vote on who, if anyone, we actually meet). This time around I thought I did a pretty good job of posting a clear and concise ad, that spelled out what we wanted and actually got a bunch of what I considered (by craigslist standards) good replies. After weeding through a bunch, I showed my wife the pics of the guys that I thought were most promising and let het pick her favorite(s). She picked two so I sent each mail letting them know they had made the first cut and gave them her email address...this is where things started getting a little strange. One guy got very into pics at this point, so I sent him a couple (since he had been kind enough to share his), but as is always our rule with online communication, didn't send any face pics. I guess this disappointed him because despite saying he would, he never contacted my wife.

The other guy took several days to reply to me, but ultimately said he would be interested in meeting us for drinks one night...but again, once it came time to set something up, he disappeared. That led me to look for more ads from other guys, which in turn led to a night out to meet someone...a story for the next post :)

  1. Interesting to see we are far from alone in single guys liking to talk the talk rather than walk the walk, as it were!

We're not sure what it is but most guys (in our experience) love to post an ad then seem to get cold feet and won't take it further when someone expresses interest.

Ironically, in our experience, those purporting to be dom are the worst offenders.

    As they say, go figure!

Wish you well and love the blog
